I have been using R as a platform for teaching at the Centre for
Economic Studies and Planning, JNU for several years now. We have a
faily active community of students who have basic training in R and
use it for their research. We shall be happy to host any meetings on R
at JNU, Delhi. Could provide decent conference facilities, internet
access and tea.

Mani and others in ISI/JU, Kolkata seem to be very active in using and
providing training on R to academic users in Kolkata. A more active
collaboration across cities would be nice.
