You probably have to clear your "Sent" folder OR check if you're out of disk space/inodes assuming that thunderbird is talking about local "Sent" folder on disk. If there is free disk space/inodes (where your thunderbird profile is located), then you need to bump your disk quota, you'll be needing admininstrator access for this. Or, if your Sent IMAP folder is full, then ask your email administrator to bump your email quota.
