The best place for you to look for what's wrong is inside the log file for 
the lpd.
Which should be /var/spool/lpd/'your-printer-QueueName'
If there is something wrong going on it will be there as status inside 
'status.your-printer-QueueName' file.
I don't have the exact idea here what do you mean by 2 lines.
But to be on the safer side move  your /etc/printconf  to /etc/printconf.old 
and
run printconf-gui.
