Just wanted to say that you should not be using mouse on that server. In fact remain in runlevel 3 and not in run level 5 to remove un-necessary load on the server. Maybe mouse movement is not a reliable parameter to check performance. What does top show on both the computer in similar load condition. That is what needs to be checked i guess.
