I am very concerned. This Dishnet people have put up a dish on the rooftop of our
(Deepalaya www.deepalaya.org) school. We thought that we would take a connection from
them for our Linux Server in the school. We are yet to finalise as they could not
finalise the rent they are supposed to pay to our organisation (quoting extremely low
rent which wont even support a child's education for a year). The only consideration
from our side was that our children would get a better connection. Now....

Can somebody advice us? (Sorry if this is bit off topic)

USB modems don't work on linux. At least that is what dishnet says. Also dishnet has
some of the weirdest pricing schemes for any kind of broadband connection that I have
seen. They advertize an always on connection priced on a per hour basis. This sounds
absurd. Their other plans have a very low monthly data transfer cap. 1-2GB is
something that u can download very easily in a month if you are a heavy net user (and
this includes web surfing, all those pesky pop under/popup ads, etc!!)
