this site explains how to install Indix. this allows you to use devanagri
scripts, based on unicode and opentype, within your gnulinux.
your konsole, filesystems, and the entire xwindows and its apps, can work,
understand, and display using devanagri scripts.
create a folder on your kde desktop labelled in hindi, or create multilingual
documents in openoffice, , , u get the picture.
the download includes a free opentype unicode-based font, called raghu.
it seems indix works somewhat like the microsoft Input Message Editor under
windowz xp. have tested and tried out the whole indian language support
thingie under windoze xp, using their opentype unicode font called mangal,
and must say it works quite well.
would love to read responses from people who've installed indix and raghu.
