[ilugd]: How to get linux on CD

Hi! members I live in delhi and does want to have linux on mine computer. Can you suggest me a process to get a CD from a vendor or so..... It would be generous if someone could explain me with the details how to install as i am experienced in windows but novice in Linux. Please help me I shall be very grateful. Abhishek Jain
