Hi,
> my present project requires that I access sendmail of linux from java to
sendmails.
Why does one require sendmail to send out mails from one's system using
JAVAmail or any thing providing the same functionality. All that is required
is a functional SMTP server, to send mail.
> Does send mail support HTML mail formats.
Why would any SMTP server have to worry what type of content is going as
long as it has proper format.
It is so strange that a no. of programmers who lack a fundamental knowledge
of TCP/IP and ports on a system are batteling out to make applications. Most
common of them are programmers working on Java or Microsoft PL's like VB.
Even many web programmers working on creating websites, great wizards in
Javascript, DHTML, XML etc. lack the understanding how the sites that they
are creating are actually accessed by the browsers.
