A font is part of a language, and a language is part of a culture. For
example, if somebody in the future wants to print a newspaper using
this font, MSFT across the ocean would have been able to force them to
pay royalties. So a part of their culture has to pay a foreigner to
continue to exist. And you know that the owner across the ocean has no
inclination to develop it. To me it looks like a little bit of
cultural genocide. These brave lads should receive an award from
Unesco.

This makes me wonder if it'd be possible to set up some kind of
funding for you (wouldn't it be a shame if you had to give up on all
those nice $$$s from certain companies due to having decided to go the
"real" OSS GPLed way ??). Maybe you could set up an account at PayPal
or so for us to pay some small amount of money to (maybe not so small
for you ;). I'd certainly transfer some money to you for this great
accomplishment ! <insert random "isn't it sad how money rules the
world ?" phrase here> ;-)
