Hi List,

Suddenly my MySQL has decided not to establish connections with my
Apache server. I used to start them both manually and they worked
perfectly for 3 weeks. A couple of hours ago, the drama started. The
first symptom was that MySQL stopped opening the databases from the
mysql_pconnect command. After checking the php.ini and httpd.conf files
and verifying the include paths, I realized it was a problem with mysql
not able to process queries from Apache since command line mysql was/is
working perfectly.

The phpinfo.php file returned the following with both the servers
running for MySQL:

Active Persistent Links 0
Active Links 0
Client API version 3.23.39
MYSQL_MODULE_TYPE builtin
MYSQL_SOCKET /tmp/mysql.sock
MYSQL_INCLUDE
MYSQL_LIBS

I don't remember how this used to look earlier, but somehow have a hunch
that this isn't right. Needless to say : please help.
