hi all
i'm running redhat 7.3 and it was working very fast since y'day.But now
it has gone really slow.When i stop my network services ...my system
again runs fast , but when i enable my network services it goes
drastically slow... wat can be the problem.... is it a denial of service
attack
1> when i open pine it takes 10-15 secs. with network enabled and not
even 1 sec. without network
2> when i do startx it takes 5-10 mins. for it to start (with
networking) and 5 secs without network....
previous to this i ran nessus on my box with all destructive plugins
enabled... nessus ( a vulnerability testing tool) results didn't tell me
that they have done something crazy with my comp. but my box is really
behaving abnormally...
