Hi,
 1. Ensure that JDK is installed (rpm -qa | grep
-e java -e jdk)
 2. If not installed, install jikes (IBM's Java)
from the distro CD or dld JDK 1.3 from Sun site
 3. Open a terminal. Run javac (compilation) and
java from the command line.

It is all the same in all platforms, how Linux
differs?
