Hi,
I am facing a typical problem here on my RH8.0 system
with a SiS 3D PRO AGP card. Somehow I cant get X to
work properly now. The only way I am getting it to
work is to manually run xfs (xfs &) and then startx as
root.
If I try to run as a user I get the error in
.xsessions-error as below. It shows no error while
starting xfs in bootup . Actually, many apps like
printer and opeoffice (not enough space on detination
drive ) dont open files and show lack of space.
deleting files form /tmp helps only temporarily.
I have faced similiar problem on similiar HW machine
with RH8.0 (usually something like X respawning too
fast, and then there being no temp space ).
Any ideas?
