perhaps yu should try later versions. redhat 7.3 is quite old and may
not have the relevant graphic drivers for your motherboard. yu can
either upgrade your Xfree86 installation (which i'd not recommend) or
get the latest distribution (redhat 9, mandrake 9.1 or anything which
has xfree86 4.3).
