Dear Niyam,
Thanks for your mail which is giving me mixed feelings about what you
have written.
I was wondering snce evening when I sw your mail as to how can a person
like you make mistake about using the word like "rants" and when I saw
your another mail where you have explained the diferences in different
words and their meaning (old - veteran, marriage - wedding, etc.) I got
it more clear. But still let me ask you clearly :
Why do you use the derogatory word like "rant" to my
comments/mails/issues ?
While you, like anyone else, have full liberty to have your own views
about everything, doe that give you a right to publicly use derogatory
remarks against another member of the group ?
Is that how you want things to "return towards civilization" ?
I suggest and request you to please make a note of the fact your using
such words go against the very purpose of your mail and you need to
avoid them.
I trust you will understand the hurt feelings caused by your mail.
Nor regarding the other points:
I had to miss the good & positive meeting of 20th April as I was busy in
making preparation of an event at bangalore which is taking place on 22
& 23. I am looking forward to the minutes etc. to get a fair ides of the
positive things that happened there.
My thanks to Amit who hosted this meet. You see how the people in
Commercial field are open to supporting Linux ? I had also hosted a
meeting at my office in malviya nagar (couldn't afford the
tea-cofee-pizza though) and had offered that the meetings can be held
there at any time (pre-planned). The offer still remains. I had also got
SCO to give their place at CP for the monthly meetings. But all these
things never materialised for the reasons that are raised as the issues
that I am talking of.
And, by the way, to say that my mail was triggered by the mail of Manish
will only mean to ignore the issues being raised.
I also hope the civilised behaviour to be there.
