Dear All, I have question regarding building the linux kernel in FC2 and later distributions. I have almost always faced a problem with building linux kernels in 2.6.x range in FC2 or later distributions.
When I try to build the kernel, the recompilation process which takes enough amount of time finishes very without any errors. Today, I was trying to build 2.6.11.12 kernel over FC2. Now, I am getting the following error: Uncompressing Linux... OK, booting the kernel () RAMDISK: incomplete write (-28 !=32768) 4194304 Kernel panic - Not syncing: VFS: Unable to mount rootfs on unknown-block (0,0) What is the reason for this?
