Hi,

My college has recently got the DELNET (Digital
Library) S/w.

it has been installed on a Fedora Core system

1. apache is required and is running fine.
2. JRE is required and is installed and the User
interface (on the server's desktop) is working fine.

when the other clients try to access the HTTP url, it
is required to run a cgi script. ( a 3 Mb script)

proper changes have been made to httpd.conf to reflect
the cgi-bin alias.

but still the client gets (save as) dialog instead of
the web page.

when we try to run the cgi script on the server
(URL->localhost) we get gibberish.. cpu usage shoots
up by 50% for about 1 min and then we get the
gibberish i.e. binary coded characters... but not the
actual HTML output.

any insghts? what we may have overlooked while
installation....

Regards,

Vishesh
