hi, Thanks for the reply,if proxy is bypassed for this ip, i am able to see the jakarta tomcat home page, but when i gave the same ip form another system,the problem is repeating,is it that proxy is not detecting this system?,if so ,but i am able to see the apache home page by giving http://172.16.8.13 , so i think tomcat has to be configured for this or some other problem i am unable to find.
