The first meet of 2006 began with a string of failures. First the password of the alloted machine at Virtusa was changed and being an off day for most employees the password could not be retrieved. Then a Windows Box with XP failed to load drivers for the USB Stick and finally the net connection went down. Thanks to these failures the talk started half an hour behind schedule. Mr.Bhyrav (one of the founders of the group) had to deliver the talk with the aid of printouts(courtesy: an anonymous Virtusa Employee). The talk dealt with an introduction to virtualization, paravirtualization and Xen(an open source virtualization Software). The talk lasted about an hour and was attended by about 30 people. On behalf of the group I would like to thank Mr.Arjun Mukherjee, Mr.Ramakrishna and Virtusa for arranging the venue. I also thank Mr.Bhyrav for giving a good talk despite all the problems. Credit also needs to go to the moderator Suman for arranging the talk.
