actually implementing POP3 on mandrake for example is as simple as
clicking on POP3/IMAP in the mandrake software install screen and
then selecting start on boot for that. - other distros must be
having the same thing. Postfix needs at the most about 2-3 lines of
config to be done depending on the server - let him try at least
