Hi,

I am trying to configure belkin wireless network card(PCMCIA, F56020) on
debian unstable. The card works fine on windows.

I did an apt-get install of ndiswrapper-common and utils and then did an
ndiswrapper -i with the .ini.

The driver was installed fine and ndiswrapper -l shows that the driver
and the hardware are installed. But when i do a modprobe ndiswrapper it
fails with a "module not found".  I have tried following the
installation steps given on a site and i the tutorial suggests that i do
a "ndiswrapper -hotplug" before doing a modprobe. But no such option
exists. Is there an alternative way to do ndiswrapper -hotplug?

When i tried doing insmod, i did not find nsiswrapper.ko in
/lib/modules/<kernel>. I am unable to understand where the problem is.
Is it problem with ndiswrapper or is it a wrong installation procedure?

I tried building the ndiswrapper from source but it fails because there
is no build dir in /lib/modules/<kernel>. Do i need to install the
kernel-headers package also to build it?

-Suman
