Hi, It's really wonderful Idea ,to have NAtional LUG. Advantage is like ,many people can share there ideas ,knowledge, and code, we can call it as a "truly open source" community, and thats what linux made for. We can have very good talent pool to share knowledge,it ranges from IT expert's to Newbie.We can spread Linux all over india, ........so many people still dont know what is Linux and what it does. National LUG will do that. NAT-LUG will be really good place next generation of Indian programmers . We all together can develope Indian Version of Linux or at least an applications to help schools,college and university,Just we need to contribute a small chunk of Time and of course code.
Disadvantage.......all people are geographicaly diparsed ,so if we want to keep meeting it won't be that easy,Still we can have Video conference, connecting all major city's.Hope this will be not big issue.Otherwise we don't have any problem. Only these are major issue we have to look.
