Hi Silpa, I would recommend www.tldp.org I am pretty sure there is no good training course in shell scripting - not enough people wanting to learn it. I did teach Linux administration for a couple of months and people were really reluctant to learn scripting in the class. In fact one person even asked me why the heck I was teaching programming :-)
You seems to be relatively new to Linux, you might start with 'The Unix Programming Environment' by 'Kernighan and Pike'. tldp.org has quite a few resources. Good resource to learn bash and shell scripting: http://tldp.org/LDP/Bash-Beginners-Guide/html/index.html http://tldp.org/LDP/abs/html/index.html There is a good book from O'Reilly for awk. There are some good online resources too. I would recommend that you start learning scripting yourself. RH certification course does have some scripting but it is not as advanced as necessary. Thats an issue with theRH course though - not COSS. Keep up the good work, I see your market value increasing in the near future if you keep up with learning GNU/Linux. :-) Regs, kc K. C.
