[TwinCLinG] Desktop Icons not shown in Fedora 5

i am using Fedora core 5.my desktop icons are not visible on desktop 
and when we see in file structure there are directories present in 
that. Even right click on desktop is not working. to open any file / 
folder have to go using menu. can anyone give a solution for this.
