I am not sure I agree. Free software Activism is a big part of any LUG. LUGs are gathering points for free software users and activists. In my opinion Swecha does have full right to publicise this petition in this mailing list. In fact a LUG too is activist in the sense that we promote Linux (and Free Software) usage. As Cheedu suggested, there definitely needs to be a better case made to promote FOSS over proprietary but OT? We may need to rethink this.
