Dude, did you try google at all?
Searching for rtl8168 centos 5.1 - the first link is
http://www.centos.org/modules/newbb/viewtopic.php?topic_id=12467
And that has some advice for you if you read ..
# yum install dkms-r8168 --enablerepo=rpmforge
Before that you might as well plug some other cheap network card into it - a
rtl8139 or something similar, for the time being. Or download the rpms from
rpmforge onto a usb stick and install them.

Subject: [TwinCLinG] Problem detecting NIC Card.
Hi all,
I've recently installed CentOS 5.1 on my machine. But my NIC card is
not getting detected (Not shown when executed ifconfig and also in the GUI).
Its model is as given below.
Realtek RTL8168/8111 PCI-E Gigabit Ethernet NIC
But earlier other flavors of Linux like Ubuntu 9, Mandriva 2009 etc.
detected it well. Due to some constraints I have to work on CentOS 5.1 only.
Any suggestions or solutions are appreciable.
Thank you,
Venu Madhav.
