import tiff file

Dear list,

I am trying to import an orthophoto with 277MB. The image is a tiff file
and I always get the error message "Insufficient memory -(ILWIS ERROR
1008)".

The computer I am working is a Pentium III- 500 Mhz with 128Mb of RAM.
Is this computer specifications adequate for this operation?
