Hi all:

Please, some help is required. We are trying to import a bunch of
polygons (parcel map) that was digitized in Microstation using
photogrametry. So the first step was convert them to AutoCAD DXF. Then
we imported into ILWIS, so far so good, they came in nicely, as
polygons, the only problem is that the digitizing was poorly done, so
the area is full of micro areas, duplicate lines, and closed polygons
separated by a gap of 15 to 30 cm even though they are closed, that is a
line that should be one, or at least two at the same exact position and
length. In reality they are two parallel boundary lines, separated just
a few centimeters. We converted the polygon map to segment, then applied
the tunneling with 1 m (more then enough), removing superfluous nodes,
the resulting map was not distorted, and even reduced a bit of size
(some nodes where removed), but the micro areas and the duplicated
parallel sides remain the same. Can you recommend something to solve
this problem? Trying to repair the polygon map manually is more costly
than doing the whole work again using correct digitizing techniques!

Thanks, in advance, for your aid. Best regards,

Reinaldo
