Dear Pierre, The distance where ILWIS recognises the selection of a segment is called the proximity. It is specified in the .mps object definition file, the units are in meters. If you click within the proximity of a segment the value of the segment will be shown (in a map window) or it will be selected (in the segment editor). It might be that in your case there is a problem with this proximity. First it can be that you are using a map with a LatLon coordinate system. The distances are then calculated in degrees. A proximity of 1 will then mean 1 degree, instead of 1 meter, so ILWIS will not know with segment to select. It may also be that there was another reason why the proximity is stored wrong in the .mps file. To correct both situations, you may change the value in the file. To do this make a backup copy of you data and open the .mps file in notepad. Go to the [BaseMap] section and change the value of the "Proximity" to something small, like 0.0001 Hope this helps! More precisely, (1) we can't select some segments in a segment map. These segments are not accessible at all and we can do nothing with them - not even delete them. (2) Some other segments can be selected only by clicking on a precise part , either in the middle of the segment, around one node..., but can't be selected on other parts of the segment. It seems that these problems, which are probably related, appear when another segment isn't too far from the one we try to select, though we're not sure. We would appreciate any suggestions. ________________________________________________________ To leave the ILWIS-LIST discussion list, send a email with 'unsubscribe ilwis-list' in the body to '[EMAIL PROTECTED]'
