Hi, all!
I made the trek from Virginia to Philly to see IM at Tin Angel. Amazing concert. I
love this band live. At the end of "Keeping Awake" Karen and Mike harmonized on the
outro which was unexpected and resonating. As a matter of fact, the band did a little
jam session at the end of each song. At the beginning of "Follow Me," Don hit a funky
cord and Karen burst out in laughter.
Don opened for the band with four songs and they were really nice. He did really well
and it made me want to buy his album.
They played songs from "Glow" "Birds of My Neighborhood" and "Small Planes" and there
were three songs that I didn't recognize, but that may just be because I haven't
listened to "Small Planes" as intently as I would like to.
Tin Angel was a nice venue. The sound was great and, even though I didn't have a good
seat, the place is so small I could still see pretty well.
Karen seemed very grateful and kept thanking the audience for coming. She even told us
we were "all such special people." (I think that's verbatim but I may be wrong."
The show was sold out and that's encouraging.
During the concert I was just so caught up in the happiness and joy that I feel when I
listen to their music that I forgot to write down the set list. Is there anyone else
who attended who copied it down? I would like to have it so I can make a tape of the
concert and give it to a friend and I'm certain that I can increase the IM fan base by
one more person.
Here's hoping that when the tour list is updated, it shows that IM is coming close to
your home.
