I have to say that I am in agreement with the "blurriness" factor.  I also
feel that the band is NOT the same with Steve.  Is that a good thing or a
bad thing ?? The choice is yours to make.  

There is a lot to be said for the group as a whole, which includes Steve.  I
thought Umbrella and Glow are two of the most amazing albums ever made.
Cohesive, creative, expressive, melancholy .. yet hopeful !!

I enjoyed Small Planes and Birds - but to me, there seems to "something"
missing.  

That said, I still love this band with all of my heart because of all they
have meant to both me and my wife.

This is exactly what I was afraid of. Small Planes had this problem outside
of "Too Early to Say". I was hoping for the return of Steve and a producer.
I
love the band, but this will be the first album of theirs I don't buy.
