Just had to jump in here ...definitely a music person here... but sometimes,
I admit, it can get in the way of appreciating truly great poetry and lyrics...

There is a song that Dion did a long time ago and I always hated it because I
felt that the music was rather sappy. It wasn't until I sat and actually
listened to the lyrics one day that I gained a great appreciation and a great
liking for this song - not to mention a deeper respect for Mr. DiMucci as an
artist and poet. The name of the song, of course, is "Abraham, Martin & John"
...and The Innocence Mission themselves have been known to cover it in concerts
past, if I'm not mistaken.

And isn't it wonderful that in The Innocence Mission we are blessed with both
insightful, thoughtful lyrics AND beautiful music...? For those who don't
know of them, they don't know what they are missing.

Just my two cents, Mike (a.k.a. "SRMadde")
