It's really very strange. I hadn't been planning to go the Philly TLA show this evening. Fact is, I'd been expecting to be out of town, meaning that the show would have been added to the very short list of Philadelphia Innocence Mission shows I *haven't* seen since 1987.
It turned out I was in town after all.
Hmm--something I wrote nine years ago turning up again?!
Would that I could remember where "out of town" I wasn't--My '95 datebook doesn't say . . . oh wait: I must have been planning to be in Highland Park NJ with my then-wife, but had that plan scuttled by a Monday morning studio call (I was an assistant at Sigma at the time and had no control over my [nor, in the opinion of my studio manager, any right to a] life).
Nevertheless, it's quite a delight to remember the evening itself and also quite delightful to see all this traffic on this list again--it's been rather a while and, oddly enough, I'd been listening compulsively to "Umbrella" these last two or three weeks.
Hope all are well
