You don't really need to use a screensaver on the iMac - you can use the
Energy control panel instead. If you wish the machine to continue to
operate while the screen is off (for example while downloading), then set
separate timing for Hard Disk sleep (never).
I think "AfterDark" was programmed before the iMac was introduced, so
check that there is a version appropriate to your machine.
