You didn't say whether this was under 9.1 or OS X or Linux.  Under OS X I
have had the same problems and have had to force quit the operation and try
again.  Usually if I do it 2 or 3 times and drag the file over an already
open "DiskCopy" it eventually works.  Had this problem with an upgrade to
Fire (beta), OS X's answer to Instant Messaging just yesterday.  The 4th
time was the charm.
