Trying leaving your computer off for overnight and then pay attention to the
sounds the monitor appears to make if any. Listen for clicks or a pulse of
elecricity sort of sounds. I am only guessing but perhaps the monitor is not
degaussing.
There was a very interesting thread recently and they mentioned an apple
site that talked about another issue that mentioned monitors and degaussing,
also about leaving a mac off overnight and that was on the issue of whether
leaving a mac on all the time is harmful.
OK I huess when you get the results ou can compare with others.
To be honest I really otherwise do not have another educated guess.
