How much do you all guess it will cost? My sister is considering an iMac
of some variety and she's on a tight budget. Would one of the older iMacs
that are being d/c be a good bet as well? It's for word processing and
Internet surfing, basically (she's struggling along on a Performa with
16MB Ram if you can believe).

What will the prices on the old ones go to? I guess the Rev.A is not a good
one to get, what about one of the late models?

And ... if you have time, what would be the minimum RAM that makes sense?
My old 9500 runs fine on 80MB, but then it is running OS 8.0. If you're
going to be running 9.x/10.x, what do you need?

And ... in OSX, how do you get it to tell you what apps are using up what
RAM while open? "About this computer" told me only what processor
and how much RAM total.
