You can drag a pdf onto the Acrobat Reader icon or an alias of it. If they aren't automatically opening in Acrobat Reader by double-clicking on them, then your Internet preferences aren't set correctly.
Also, if you're trying to view PDFs in Netscape 4.x with the PDFViewer Plug-in, forget it. The PDFViewer Plug-in does not work correctly for Netscape 4.x on Macintosh. You should download the PDF instead, or use Internet Explorer.
