About a week ago, my indigo imac developed this behavior while in OS 9 where the desktop icons disappear and then reappear one at a time. This occurs during any operation where the desktop is present in the back ground. An example would clicking from my scanner window to the desktop in order to launch Photoshop. This behavior is painfully slow while I wait for the desktop icons to reappear before I'm giving control again to perform my next operation. I'm really stumped on this.
