Fortunately or maybe not the new Epsons now require a proprietory ink cartridge. If you can get around the problem fine. if not, be prepared to pay, at least here in Canada upwards of $49.00 for the black ink cartridge and upwards of $89.00 for the colour cartridge. Which makes one really wonder if it's just cheaper to pitch the printer when the cartridges run dry. New printer at your $100.00 price (or $159.00 plus 15% tax here); includes two new cartridges, one of each. Maybe look around and find something else. Don't know about Canon, figure they are just as expensive or maybe Hewlett-Packard although they don't seem to be overly friendly to Macs at times. I bought a C60 when my 760 died. Got the 760 repaired, was able to find after- market cartridges for it, from the US, which were still cheaper even after monetary excahnge, shipping, duty and taxes than the similar Epson branded cartridges here in Canada. It really makes you wonder. The C60 is now being used as a doorstop. Might use it as a planter in the garden come spring.
