this is kindof an outside shot, but when you "get info" about your hard drive, how big does it say it is? i had a friend running 9.1 on a newer iMac DV+ have a problem where he ended up with a few trash temp files that registered as being around 600 gigs each. when i checked the size of his HD it registered as around 8 Tb (terrabites)! 8000 gigs! when it calculated how much data was on the disc it came back with a negative number. we couldn't get it to do anything big because the computer couldn't get accurate data on its own HD. in the end i backed up the whole drive on cds and wiped it, reformatted and reinstalled Mac OS. it has been fine since then. but remember, that wasn't a revB. like i said, just an outside shot.
