Phil It is on the bottom of the iMac's motherboard. Then you remove the cover below the usb ports on the right side of the iMac. You would have to do A LOT of work to get it apart to do this.
It includes taking the back off the computer, pulling the motherboard carrier out of the unit, then you would have to completely remove the motherboard and then the mezzanine slot is on the underside of the board. I would take it to an Apple dealer and have them perform the work. iMacs motherboards are fragile. I have toasted one in this 233Mhz iMac I even had a grounding strap on.
