Just wondering because I was playing 4x4 EVO 2 on my iMac, and whenever I
would go to play online it would lock up. I would force quit EVO and then
the Mac wouldn't reset or power off without me holding the button.

Is there any chance of this doing any short or longterm damage to the
computer? I heard somewhere it might cause some damage to programs but can't
do any hardware damage.

Just to be on the safe side, yesterday I reinstalled the whole system, and
4X4 worked first time when I went to play a network game. Baffles me why it
was freezing in the first place, unless there was a problem with an extension
or something.

Any help is appreciated, but I just got this computer and I don't want it
going kaput on me for at least three years :).

My basic question is, do you think I did any damage to it, short or long term
by having to turn off the computer by using the power button. I did this
probably half a dozen to ten times.
