Try deleting the preferences file or files for your cd driver (extension) 
whether that's Apple CD ROM or FWB. The cd RW drive may have reset it so
that it no longer recognizes the CD drive. Actually just move them to the
trash first without deleting and try it out. If it doesnt work or you have
worse problems you can move them back.
When your imac says the CD is locked, it's saying that it cant initialize it
(because it's only a cd reader, not writer).
I won't promise this will solve it but worth a try. If this doesnt work you
could try deleting whatever driver was installed for the Lacie CD RW and see
what that does.
