The Control Strip won't load the Battery Monitor on an iMac being as
there is no rechargable battery to monitor.

Thanks, Clark.  I wasn't aware of that.

It's puzzling why they even have this icon in the program if it's not, and
can never be functional with a iMac - unless they just included it in the
OS 9 program as a whole, and didn't consider it worth the effort to delete
for iMac situations.

Strangely, under the "Help" guidelines, there was a caution about turning
off the power strip if your computer is hooked up to one, to the effect that
battery life could be affected.  Again, it must have been for the OS 9
program itself, without regard to iMacs specifically.
