It's puzzling why they even have this icon in the program if it's not, and can never be functional with a iMac - unless they just included it in the OS 9 program as a whole, and didn't consider it worth the effort to delete for iMac situations. Strangely, under the "Help" guidelines, there was a caution about turning off the power strip if your computer is hooked up to one, to the effect that battery life could be affected.
