Just a note to end a story.
I wrote a few days ago about my rev A that wouldn't run any browser fast
any more. The iMac and a few other boxes including a windows NT box
live on the same router and DSL service. The NT box had been
embarrassing my iMac for a few months. Well I figured it out.
Uncle George suggested trashing Netscape's preferences. This didn't
seem like the solution because iCab, Opera and IE all were stubbornly
slow on the Mac. So I trashed the TCP/IP preferences!! The one thing
all the browsers had in common. I had to set my TCP/IP connection up
again and now I'm back to full speed surfing again!
I can't say why it slowed down in the first place though.. weird huh?
