On my other Mac, (running 0S 8.6 in both) I can double-click on the top bar of any window to collapse it to just the bar, then double-click on it again to reopen, instead of using the top right corner box. This is a lot more convenient but my imac doesnt do it and I havn't been able to figure out how to enable this feature. I looked for an extension or control panel or preference and cant find it. I think under OS7 this was called windowshade.
