You didnt say you'ld checked this, so... try the simplest thing first if you
havent (I only understand the simple things so that's all I can help with).
Start Netscape, under the edit bar go to preferences, then go to colors
under the "appearance" category and make sure your visited and unvisited
links are set to different colors. If they're not, click on one of the
colors and adjust it to the color of your choice.
