Problem: iMac clock is slow. In one week it loses several seconds. Machine: iMac purple case, 333MHz model, 1999
Details: Replaced the iMac battery about 3 weeks ago with a new battery. Original battery, per Batteries Plus store, seemed OK but they could not perform an extended load function on it due to lack of equipment on their end. iMac speaker alert sound volume settings also does not seem to retain its mid-level setting. Lately, the alert sound volume has been very loud. Will resetting the iMac PRAM solve this? I have the keystroke instructions on how to do this. I also noticed in the iMac repair manual that it says resetting the CUDA chip solves similar problems. I've seen a DUDA RESET button on the iMac motherboard, but have not pressed this. Any ideas/suggestions are greatly appreciated. thanks :-) > Regards, > David T. Craig > > ________________________________________________________________ > > # David T.
