If I'm understanding you...... all dialog boxes have gray backgrounds? If we're talking about the same things, this is normal and can't easily be changed. This is how things have been since OS 8 came out and the 'new' 'platinum' look of the MacOS. If we're talking about different things, then I have no idea.
